For Michael Kors' 2025/26 Winter Campaign, Cold Creative turned 14,000 lbs of ice into a series of stunning backdrops at Lake Louise — a full ice bar, bar stools, a larger-than-life branded purse replica, and the MK logo sculpture, as well as an iconic ice wall to be used as a backdrop for model interviews, photos, and product shots.
Dozens of crew, models, cameras, and lights. Our job: deliver every piece on schedule, keep it perfect, and stay out of the way of the magic. In a production environment, delays are expensive — timing is everything.
Behind the Scenes
The Finished Campaign

Featured Production
Cold Creative was brought in to close off a cave entrance high in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta with a real ice wall — built to look like a natural ice waterfall sealing the cave. The actor was filmed approaching the cave entrance, walking around the ice falls and entering the cave. Wind River's VFX team then used CG in post to extend the ice fall above what we built on the mountainside, blending seamlessly with the practical work below.
When the production needed something that couldn't be faked at the base — something that had to be real, had to be ice, had to be there — they called Cold Creative. Here's how it came together.

Day 1: The cave entrance, bare rock
The wall takes shape, block by block
Icicles forming as the wall grows

The finished wall — cave sealed in ice

The view from inside — through the ice
Featured Production
For this Archway Manor winter wedding photography shoot, Cold Creative built the table and benches from ice, then created a full suite of frozen décor to dress the setting — white orchids completely encased in ice using our ice machines, ice vases with real flowers inserted into them, and ice candles: a real piece of ice with an oiled wick that actually burns. Every element on that table was made of ice. This is what "no compromises" looks like in practice.
